Sports Massage
Sport massage is meant for athletes to help prevent and heal muscle injuries. While you don’t have to be an athlete to benefit from a sports massage, this type of massage will help your body prepare for a sports event, recover after an event and perform at peak capacity.
I concentrate on one specific part of our body. This is very similar to a Swedish massage but it is more focused and concentrated.
One of the biggest benefits of a sports massage is improved blood circulation in the affected area and stimulation of lymph fluids. This type of massage can help get rid of knots and increase range of motion.
Most athletes usually do a pre-event sports massage, meant to stimulate muscles, before an event and a post event massage meant to normalize muscles, after an event.
I offer pre-event, post-event and rehabilitative sports massage therapy.
This type of massage is usually selected if you have a sports injury that you are trying to address or need to prepare for an upcoming event.
